Heartfulness Meditation & Wellness

Featured Research

The academic internal medicine department of Wellspan York Hospital, Pennsylvania conducted a study on the impact of Heartfulness meditation program on healthcare providers, including resident physicians, faculty physicians and nurses. Pre and post surveys were completed to track changes in symptoms of burnout and emotional wellness. The study found participants experienced:

 

  • significant decrease in burnout

  • significant increase in joy, calmness, harmony, tolerance, confidence, sleep quality and other positive attributes

  • significant decrease in anger, stress, anxiety, cynicism, fear, irritability and other negative attributes
     

The study is published in the Journal of Community
Hospital Internal Medicine Perspectives. 

Impact of Heartfulness on healthcare providers

Accreditation
 

  • Live conferences have been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Heartfulness Institute. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is accredited by the ACCME to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower  designates this activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
     

  • Annenberg Center for Health Sciences is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. A maximum of 15 contact hours may be earned for successful completion of this activity.
     

  • The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Annenberg Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This activity is designated by the Annenberg Center for 15 hours of credit.
