Dr Barry is a practicing emergency physician, radio show host, podcaster, blogger, and weight loss and wellness physician. Dr Barry has been in practice for over 10 years in the weight loss and wellness arena, helping patients all over the world achieve their optimal health and wellness via lifestyle modification. Dr Barry is also the author of a very popular book, Next Level Weight Loss 2.0. Via his book, many have been able to get a better understanding of health, wellness, and nutrition. Many of its readers have been able to achieve amazing successes in their weight loss journey.

Dr Barry hosts a radio show and podcast called the Health and Wellness Connection, a weekly podcast and radio show with thousands of weekly listeners from all over the world. Dr. Barry show is focused on discussing provocative and important topics in the weight loss, health, and wellness arena.

Dr Barry believes weight loss transformation can only happen when your mindset has been edified. Therefore, his focus is in using his influence to inform people on the science behind health and nutrition, enabling them to make better decisions about their health. Dr Barry believes that the only way to change your body is to first change your mindset. Dr Barry’s goal is to help as many people to achieve that as possible.

Barrington Iruke MD, FACEP

Dr. Cecilia Fernandes M.D. is a pediatric neurologist, meditation conductor and spiritual guide. She was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates. She earned her medical degree from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal and then completed her Pediatrics Residency from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She is currently a Child Neurology Fellow at Duke University, North Carolina. She began the practice of meditation nine years ago, however her inner growth accelerated after she met her Living Guide Divine Friend Dadashreeji. Under his guidance she is now leading a non-profit, socio-spiritual organization Maitribodh Peace Services in the USA. She organizes and conducts 'Maitri Sambodh Dhyaan' meditation and various inner transformational spiritual workshops across the U.S.A. In addition to her child neurology academic endeavors, she has collaborated with physicians in India vested in neuroscience research exploring the effects of meditation and spiritual practice on the brain. Her most recent publication was accepted at the American Academy of Neurology "Neuropsychological and resting fMRI changes with spiritual practice". Her vision as a physician and spiritual guide is to address each being's holistic needs including physical, mental and spiritual, aiding them on a path of inner transformation through Love and Selfless Service.

Dr. Cecilia Fernandes, MD

Dr. Heather Colmenter has been practicing anesthesia and acute pain medicine for 10 years, affiliated with multiple hospitals in the Houston area.  She finished her medical school and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Prior to medical school, she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.   She also completed a master’s degree at Baylor University and Lund University in Sweden studying the development and creation of new cancer drugs. She is currently completing fellowships in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and Interventional Pain at the University of Texas Medical Branch focusing on chronic pain, nutrition and the mind-body connection for optimal health.

Heather was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and it was this experience what urged her to co-found the non-profit organization, Hola Bloom,  to help other women understand the facts and know the best path to follow before diagnosis, during treatment, and after surviving the disease. Her goal is to provide an integrated approach through these different phases while providing emotional support. She wants to encourage women walking through the same journey she’s been, sharing with others the same feelings and thoughts that had made her brave and bold enough to join thousands of women in their fight against breast cancer.

Dr. Heather Colmenter

Dr. Joyee Vachani is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics who began working at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) after completing a residency and fellowship at Emory School of Medicine in Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) in 2009. Subsequently, she completed a Master’s in Education, Advanced Quality Improvement course and Six-Sigma training at TCH, and a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management from Rice University. During her time as faculty at TCH, she has been involved locally and nationally in various educational curricula, quality/safety projects, research grants and publications, and served in various leadership roles. She currently serves as the Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship, Director of Quality and Safety in the Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and the Associate Director of Quality for the Department of Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Vachani truly believes mentorship plus opportunity and passion lead to success. Working 10 years at the largest free-standing children’s hospital in the country, she joined the Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital an optimistic, driven physician wanting to change the world. Today she remains an optimistic, driven physician who feels like she IS changing the world. Whether at the bedside, in a leadership role, or outside of work, she has learned a tremendous amount from each life experience and looks forward to learning with you all today at this fantastic conference!

Dr. Joyee G. Vachani, MD, M.Ed

Dr. Kari Rollins is a dedicated physician and healer. She began practicing yoga at
the age of 10 and became a vegetarian at the age of 17. She pursued a career in
medicine, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from Kansas State
University and Cum Laude from the University of North Texas Health Science
Center. Following her internship, her interest in preventive medicine led her back
to the University of North Texas Health Science Center where she researched,
developed and taught programs in preventive medicine and wellness to medical
students. Her desire to make such programs available to the general public
inspired her to found The Wellness Center in 1986. Over the past 30 years Dr.
Rollins has developed the staff and services of The Wellness Center to provide a
comprehensive approach to the treatment of illness and promotion of health.

I was born and raised in beautiful Puerto Rico. New Orleans was home for 3 years while training at the LSU Pediatric Residency Program. Soon after graduation, I relocated to Houston during the Summer of 2003. I currently enjoy living in League City, TX with my son,  an islander cannot live too far from the water. 

One of the best decisions in my life has been enrolling at the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine fellowship lead by Dr Andrew Weil. This training opened my eyes and my heart to a different approach in Medicine.

My current interests are Physician Wellness, Conscious Parenting, mental health, meditation, nutrition and spirituality in medicine. 

Dr. Kristine O’Connor, MD

Nadia Sabri MD FAAP is a board certified Pediatrician, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and certified yoga, mindfulness, meditation instructor (RYT 200). She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, AAP's Council on Community Medicine,  Texas Medical Society, and Travis County Medical Society Physician Wellness Program committee. She regularly teaches yoga, meditation, and mindfulness to physicians. 


Dr. Nadia is founder of the award winning blog, The Mindful MD Mom, which empowers parents and professionals to live authentic, intentional lives. Dr. Nadia’s health and wellness tips have been featured in national publications like Thrive Global, The Washington Post, Parents, USA Today, Elite Daily, Doximity, KevinMD, Motherly, MomMD, among others. 

Dr. Nadia Sabri, MD

Dr. Neha Kansara is in private practice in New Orleans, Louisiana. She also serves the community by visiting patients at their homes through a program called ACT (Assertive community treatment). She has an affiliation and is on the treatment team of physicians for Amen Clinics - the future of Psychiatry that specializes in SPECT scanning and a holistic approach to mental health.   


Having completed training in Infant, Child, Adolescent Psychiatry from LSU, New Orleans and Adult Psychiatry from UMMC in Jackson MS, Dr.Kansara decided to stay back in New Orleans and expand her knowledge. She also has a special interest in Women's/Perinatal/pregnancy/postpartum conditions of which she serves as board of directors for the Post-Partum Society International (PSI) in New Orleans.


She has a deeper interest in Developmental disorders of Infancy, Autism, ADHD, trauma, transgender, OCD and other common psychiatric conditions such as mood and anxiety disorders in both the pediatric and adult populations. She is also certified in performing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for resistant depression. 

She was born in India, traveled internationally during school years and returned to India for medical school and worked as a mental health professional in Mumbai, before moving to the United States. She has an extensive research background and has traveled to New York, Washington D.C and Duke University in North Carolina before starting her training in Psychiatry residency.

She believes in the biopsychosocial model for treating a condition "Treating an individual as whole is my approach to mental health. 

"A sound mind is a sound body " has always been my philosophy in delivering patient care. Her strong belief in a holistic approach towards treating mental health and also incorporating daily meditation practice in her daily routine has made her a successful individual. She encourages her patients towards mindfulness, various meditation approaches and teaches them to build a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Neha Kansara, MD

Radheshyam Miryala MD lives in Seabrook, TX with his wife and two daughters. He is a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician in the Greater Houston area where he serves as the Medical Director for Neighbors Health System at the Porter, TX location.  He worked in academics for 12 years where he was actively involved in teaching residents and students and caring for patients at John Sealy Hospital’s Level 1 Trauma Center.

Dr. Radheshyam Miryala, MD

Dr. Ragini Miryala is a Pediatrician and Owner of PediSTAT Child/Teen Urgent Care. Since becoming a certified meditation trainer for the Heartfulness Instititute in June, 2015, Dr. Miryala has conducted small and large group meditation sessions for individuals, elementary schools, hospitals, senior living facilities, and corporations such as Lulu Lemon Athletica, JP Morgan Investment Corporation, and Air Liquide. She lives in Houston, TX with her husband and two children. 

Dr. Ragini Miryala, MD

Roopa Naidu has been a meditation instructor with the Heartfulness Institute since 2015 and Yoga teacher since 2016. Roopa loves to combine creative sequences and a spirit of playfulness in her Yoga classes.  She seeks to help her students experience joy in movement, get stronger and find complete relaxation and stillness by cultivating a daily practice. She teaches her students at home and at Yoga studios, and especially enjoys teaching families and children. Roopa is a Project Manager in Information Technology and has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. She lives in Pearland, TX with her family.

Dr. Vinay Dalal, MD, is an anesthesiologist who specializes in chronic pain management. She completed sub-speciality fellowship training in pain management and residency training in anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. She has been in private practice in Fort Worth for over 15 yrs.

Dr. Dalal thinks differently about pain. She believes that managing and preventing chronic pain requires more than medication management and injections. She counsels patients to promote lifestyle changes such as stress reduction, exercise, and healthy eating. Dr. Dalal likes to think outside the box and strives to learn about complementary medicine techniques that can benefit her patients. Acupuncture, Yoga, Mindfulness Practice, Breath Awareness,  Hypnosis, Guided relaxation, Nutrition, and fasting are areas of interest that she is presently incorporating in her practice for therapeutic benefits.
