CME Conferences

Heartfulness Institute is offering CME/CE accredited programs to relax, meditate and rejuvenate, in collaboration with Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower for physicians (AMA), nurses (ANCC) and psychologists (APA).

Heartfulness CME programs are unique educational opportunities as you'll learn from practicing physicians and PhDs, who are also experienced Heartfulness meditators and trainers.

Dr. Raj Barode

Dr. Raj Borade has been actively practicing Gastroenterology in Florida since 2013 and specializes in Liver and Biliary Tract Diseases.

After completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical School in India, Dr. Borade went to Norwich, U.K. where he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust. He then moved to the U.S. and joined the Internal Medicine residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida where he, in his third year, served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Borade then went on to complete a Liver Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Jayaram Thimmapuram

Dr. Jayaram Thimmapuram is an Academic Hospitalist at WellSpan York Hospital where he primarily focuses on educating and mentoring Internal Medicine Residents.  He has a special interest in research, and has research articles published in reputed medical journals. He is a recepient of “Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award for 2015”. Most recently, Dr. Thimmapuram has completed a research project on Heartfulness Meditation and its effect in lowering stress levels, burnout and its impact on telomere length. The study has been accepted for publication. He actively practices heartfulness meditation and offers meditation training.

Sharma Vadlamanati

Sharma Vadlamanati is a senior organizational transformation consultant and coach. He is passionate about the people side of change, and focuses on bringing meaningful changes into organizations that will improve not just the bottom line for the organizations but also the work-life balance of people. He has run several training events in both the corporate and public world, talking about and enabling better communications, collaboration, and a holistic see-the- big-picture as well as simple approach to work and life.

Sharma has been practicing meditation for over 25 years, and is a Heartfulness trainer. He and his wife Ranjana (also a Heartfulness trainer and practitioner) live in Florida. They have two children, a son and a daughter, both practitioners of Heartfulness Meditation. Sharma is also a photography enthusiast, and in his spare time or when on the road, likes to takes nature pictures.

Dr. Parikshit Deshmukh

Dr. Pari Deshmukh is a board-certified psychiatrist and a diplomate of American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. Dr. Pari completed his medical training in India and psychiatry residency at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He also completed certificate courses in psychodyanamic, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal psychotherapy. He did various research based presentations, publications and worked as a clinical research investigator. He has been practicing in central Florida and has developed expertise in psychiatric managements of patients in nursing home and assisted living facilities. Also, he has been working as a consultant at various reputed addiction rehab facilities and at Promise Hospital of Florida. He enjoys meditating, teaching, and reading. He is married to Mrs. Sweta Deshmukh.

  • Live conferences have been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Heartfulness Institute. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is accredited by the ACCME to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower  designates this activity for a maximum of 15.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
     

  • Annenberg Center for Health Sciences is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. A maximum of 15.0 contact hours may be earned for successful completion of this activity.
     

  • The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Annenberg Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This activity is designated by the Annenberg Center for 15.0 hours of credit.
