In light of the current situation, preservation of physician well-being is paramount due to increased levels of stress imposed by the pandemic on healthcare providers.
Heartfulness is a meditation system similar to mindfulness, but its meditative approach focuses on the heart and the art of feeling. Meditation is very beneficial in alleviating stress and insomnia, reducing anxiety, improving blood pressure and even boosting the immune system.
This 1-hour CME will review meditation and relaxation techniques best suited to medical professionals. It will be led by Kamlesh Patel, who himself was a pharmacist and is the current spiritual guide of Heartfulness, and will be moderated by Dr. Swati Kannan, a Mohs & Reconstructive surgeon in the US. The CME will conclude with a relaxation and meditative experience conducted by Kamlesh Patel.
